Environmental Improvements for Polesworth

Working beside the River Anker Working beside the River Anker

The project was undertaken by Jack Moody for North Warwickshire Borough Council.   The Abbey Green site in Polesworth works involved the provision of enhanced access and lighting as well as environmental improvements to create a new Local Nature Reserve as the watercourses adjacent to the River Anker were restored.  The Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) priased the project for its role in promoting the benefits to the local community with a banner titled 'This is Civil Engineering'.  The campaign by the ICE to raise awareness of civil engineering and how it can benefit communities has been a real success.  By informing the public of the works being carried out and a better understanding of what Civil Engineers do, the team believe that projects will have a successful and beneficial outcome.
