Rudge Estate Wetland Works

This wetland scheme in a local estate involved the reconnection of an existing meander (including the Beaver Dam Analogous); culvert removal, installation of a timber bridge and the creation of a braided channel feature with small impoundment features and shallow pools. Flood protection measures to ‘slow the flow’ used woody debris barriers constructed across the watercourse. The project was challenging, as access was tricky and the ground conditions were peaty, so as a result we decided on the use of our ‘go anywhere’ spider excavator to carry out the works to satisfaction of the client.
