Milestones reached on Bronington #BogLIFE project

Despite the challenges of the poor weather, with it being the wettest December on record in 30 years, and January bringing a second ‘Beast from the East,’ WM Longreach have been able to reach key milestones in the construction of the culverts and open channel works on this Natural England bog restoration scheme. Importantly, to ensure easier ongoing maintenance, silt traps have been installed upstream of the culverts to minimise silt build up in the pipes. Downstream of the culverts pitching stone and a weir have been installed picking up the existing drain.
