Abbeydale Weir Removal

The removal of a reinforced concrete structure in a live river (River Arrow) in this project required detailed liaison with local stakeholders and innovative approaches to manage the water flows including Aquadams.  Silt containment measures proved most effective in mitigating any silt pollution downstream.  The project also required close working with the Environment Agency Fisheries team to carry out a fish rescue in the works area.
