Revival of Cockington Lakes

Some 6,000 tonnes of silt have been removed from the historical carp lakes once associated with the monks of neighbouring Torre Abbey.  WM Longreach’s innovative pumping solution and use of silt lagoons within the Country Park have proved the ideal solution to the extremely constrained access, with lakes located amongst dense woodland in a steep sided valley with public access maintained as much as possible during the works.
