Chinese Bridge up for Heritage Award

With the relationship between the National Trust and WM Longreach spanning more than 11 years, the recreation of the Chinese Bridge at Croome Landscape Park formed the final part of the 20 year restoration programme for the Park. The original bridge dating back to around 1751 was kept by Capability Brown in his first commission at the site but was lost over time. This year marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of Lancelot 'Capability' Brown and the bridge is a most fitting tribute to that with the structure certainly worthy of such an award.
